Ideas that need a home and other inane ramblings.
I used to think I could move like this until my body said - 'stop this madness'. Incredilble to watch and a great tune.
Absolutely love this after hearing it on this clip, I've been hooked on this remix. Enjoy loud.
Foster The People--Pumped Up Kicks (Butch Clancy RMX) by Butch Clancy
Old skool but a track that seemed to be played constantly in Bangkok. Great tune.
For October I decided to go visit me ole pal in Thailand.
Beautiful people, scenery and what I love most, beautifully random.
You certainly are able to put things into perspective when you see some of the shit that is acceptable there.
One moment that stands out more than most....my friend and I were sitting having a beer at a bar facing onto the road/pavement. We could hear a skateboard approaching but couldn't see anyone.
We looked over the bar and saw a guy wearing a demin jacket, shades, and only had a torso. From the waist down there was nothing. He was sitting on a skateboard (think Eddie Murphy, Trading Places)
We looked down to him and he simply opened his arms wide and said 'taa-daaa!!!!' He laughed and then rode away...
Given what he was dealing with, he could still laugh.
An important lesson was learned that day, I'd either drunk too much and was seeing things or I should just take a step back from my own shit and just laugh too.
I also did my advanced DJ-ing course with the good chaps at Subbass. An intense weekend course which helps you understanding mixing and producing music better. Thoroughly enjoyable and met some top folk.
I mix vinyl but learned how to use CDJs - very weird but straightforward enough. The plan is to get my mixing up to scratch then play out.
An obvious choice perhaps but accurate nevertheless.
Because it's crap.
Adds no value.
And I'm yet to meet anyone who's got anything back from 'checking in'
What a fucking terrible month it's been for so many people around the world. Personal problems do seem to pail into insignificance.
It's hard to to find a track that can do any of the suffering any justice. This is easy listening and for me a leveller.
Awesome song, great video, reminds me of many friends. Nothing more to be said.
